Meet Our Board of Directors
An avid cat lover, Heather is excited to combine her skills as a career Psychologist and experiences as the former Executive Director of the community nonprofit, Bobcat Pride Scholarship Fund, to found and build Cattery Lounge. She looks forward to creating an enriching environment for cats, kittens, and humans to connect and enjoy each others' companionship!
Marge Fortner is retired from a long career in the public and private sectors with a concentration in management and business development. She has been owned by cats for over 30 years and currently shares her home with 5 cats. She has also been involved with rescue and fostering of cats and feral cat colony management.
Robby has lived in San Marcos since 2009. He earned a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Texas State University and enjoys hanging out with various animals. He is excited to be a part of Cattery Lounge and Snackery family and looks forward to helping connect cats and kittens to their future families.
Stacie McGee -LMSW-IPR
McGee is a Lecturer in the Texas State University School of Social Work, where she teaches a course on Animal-Assisted Therapy with her certified dog, Wesley. She is also the Assistant Director for the Texas State to Canterbury Study Abroad Program. McGee has been a social worker and involved with local non-profit agencies in and around San Marcos for 25 years.
Elise grew up in a home with more animals than people living in it. She loves all furry friends, but has a special place in her heart for cats and kittens. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Texas State, and remains an active member of the San Martian community.
Texas State graduate and “four-legged” lover, Kelsey is ecstatic to further the no-kill initiative by connecting cats and people through companionship. Using her experience in Marketing/Events at several Central Texas non-profits, she hopes to bring exposure to Cattery's mission, community footprint and engaging programs.
Katheryn has almost seven years of experience working with animals in a shelter environment. She has helped find over 200 animals their forever homes and currently works at PAWS Shelter of Central Texas as their Volunteer Coordinator and Grant Writer. As Programs Director, Katheryn hopes to continue giving voice to animals in need, as well as bring the community together through exciting and engaging programs.
Community Relations Director
Allison is a cat enthusiast and local San Martian. She has made San Marcos her furr-ever home after completing both her Bachelors and Masters Degree's in Education at Texas State University. Allison is a local First Grade teacher for Hays CISD and is devoted to furthering the no-kill initiative in Hays County. She is excited to spread the wonderful word of the Cattery's mission across Hays county and to strengthen the community of cat loving citizens. Her ultimate goal is to be an advocate for kitties and cats and to help match cuddly companions with furr-ever families!

Hannah is a life-long cat lover. Through owning cats her whole life and volunteering at shelters, she has always been involved with cats. Hannah is excited for the opportunity to work with the people and felines in our community.

David says that volunteering with felines has been the biggest joy of his life. He has volunteered at Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation in Kendalia for the last four years. David is a photographer and rancher and is passionate about helping cats in every way possible.

Sean was born in Hawaii, grew up in Louisiana, and has settled down in Texas with his wife, son, and dog. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master of Business Administration from Florida State University. Being a lover of all animals, the Cattery is a purrrrfect opportunity to help our furry friends find their furrrever homes!
